Weekly Update - What a 'marathon' of a week !

Well it’s been a busy old week at TSC and THC and one that will hopefully give everyone involved in the Club a positive vibe about how we're managing through these fast changing and uncertain times at all levels and the way our members are responding!

Green Light for the Green Pitch Project ! was the Big News this week as the TSC Ltd Board signed off the business case and go ahead to get the work done this Summer ! How good will that make the return to hockey as lovely new pitch !

The Great Timperley Auction was launched to kick off the final push on fund-raising for the Green Pitch. See how to get involved and support the Green Pitch Project.
- deadline for donation of auction 'lots' is 12noon on Tuesday 9th June
- the on line auction will be live from 12th June to 18:30 on 20th June (our next 300 Club Draw)

Marathon in a Day in May - smashed it!
Congratulations to the 24 lads who have been running a marathon a day and thanks for all the donations - the lads did the business smashing their targets ! Take a look at the final day video and remember our NHS Superheroes who the lads undertook this challenge for to say'Thank You NHS'

The final stats were ....
- 24 runners - 216 runs completed - 38 and a bit full Maratahons
- 1632km run - thats Manchester to Reykjavik !
- 31 days - 132 hours and 5 minutes
- 7986km climbed - just 880m short of the summit of Mt Everest !
- £2512 raised for NHS Charities Together - 125% or revised target

Returning to Play - news from EH and hitting the turf at THC !
The processes and procedures have been tested and we're re-opening limited access to hockey (in line with agreed TSC Operating Rules - attached) from Tuesday 2nd June ! Find out more about Returning to Play at Timperley, whats on offer, when and how to book. ALL SESSIONS must be pre-booked - there is NO TURN UP AND PLAY!

Currently we are offering two types of play (in line with EH Guidelines)
- Play Zones for recreational use for group of up to 6 from the same household or two individuals from different households
- 1:1 coaching sessions with Albert and Mark (NB - 2nd June sold out!)

England Hockey has shared a 'Roadmap' for getting back to playing on 29th May 2020 including planning scenario's for training play and league hockey.
The training phases are based on:
Step 1: Training - One-to-one / household group
Step 2: Socially Distanced Training Small groups but with social distancing in place

At the present we are still in Step 1 - NOTE even though EH refers to moving to Step 2 from 1st June they have not yet issued any guidance about this. For now the agreed approach for THC is as per EH's Guidance shared on 21st May 2020. See full details of latest EH response.

#SupportTheClub - 2020-21 Subs !
We've had a tremendous response to our 'member ask' (if you can) to pay subs early to help the club through the coronavirus closure - we've had 80 members pay in full or set up instalments and we can't thank you enough. This will made a real difference to helping TSC steer the through the impact of the closure and support the Club getting on with the Green Pitch Project.

Full Subs can still be paid at any time - if you're able to the earlier the better - Pay Subs On Line . We're firming up with Pitchero on instalment options and will update next week on who the system will process any late payment set ups (as the first payments were due to be taken 31st May). More details next week.
